This week I had the pleasure of presenting at the Lavender Law Conference in Philadelphia. As one of the few non-lawyers at the conference, I felt welcomed with open arms and learned a lot. The panels were incredibly useful and educational, and I learned very interesting things about sex workers, birth certificates, assisted reproductive technology, and how a myriad of issues affect the LGBTQ+ population. It was standing room only (with some people sitting on the floor) in our panel that I presented with Diana Adams, Christine Henry Andresen, and Edward Stein. If you are interested in law and social justice but have not yet attended a Lavender Law Conference I strongly suggest it! You will not be disappointed with the fantastic learning and social environment.
