Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit Call for Presentations

Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit

The Woodhull Sexual Freedom Alliance presents its annual Sexual Freedom Summit September 19 – 22, in Washington DC.   This is a national event featuring human rights activists, professionals from the legal and medical fields, authors, sexual freedom movement leaders and organizational partners all working toward the time when sexual freedom is fully recognized as a fundamental human right. Now is the time to contact Ricci Levy or Tess Danesi to submit a workshop or panel idea at http://www.woodhullalliance.org/woodhull-sexual-freedom-summit-2013-workshop-proposal/

With the goals for the 2013 Summit, we are especially pleased to announce that Tess Danesi has joined Woodhull as the Summit co-chair. You may know Tess from the event she co-founded, MomentumCon. Building on the conversations at the innovative MCON, Tess was inspired to become a part of Woodhull’s Sexual Freedom Summit.

Under Tess’ joint stewardship as Co-Chair of the Summit, 2013 will be bigger and better than 2012 – featuring:

  • Continuing Legal Education courses (CLEs)
  • Pending American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) Continuing Education credits
  • An all-day Human Rights Institute, in partnership with the US Human Rights Network
  • An all-day “Let’s Talk About Sex” Reproductive Justice Institute, in partnership with SisterSong:  Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective
  • Workshops on Aging and Sexuality in partnership with Widener University Sexuality and Aging Consortium
  • Three-hour intensive academies for more in-depth explorations of issues
  • Fabulous workshops featuring presenters like attorneys Lawrence G. Walters, Luke Lirot, and Mark Goldstone, political strategists like Robert M. Levy, educators like Dr. Patti Britton, Dr. Susan Milstein, Dr. Elisabeth Sheff and Bill Taverner
  • Continued focus on our human right to family and Woodhull’s Family Matters Project

…and we are still accepting workshop submissions! Please submit yours today.

Of course Woodhull’s Board of Directors will all be on hand for the Summit. Don’t miss a chance to meet Board Chair Hardy Haberman, and members including Buck Angel, Nina Hartley, Gloria Brame, Patti Britton, and Diana Adams!
